Elise N. Willis, J.D. worked as an Attorney for two national law firms focusing her practice in Insurance Defense Litigation, Excess Monitoring and Coverage before transitioning to raise her children and committing to a life of volunteer work.  Elise was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago before attending University of Wisconsin – Madison, earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  Elise subsequently attended the evening program at Loyola University-Chicago’s Law School while also working full time earning her J.D. in 2005.   She currently resides in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Adam, and two highly active sons.  Like too many, Elise has had to experience the pain of family and friends affected by cancer, and, in specific, her efforts to help a close friend navigate this terrible disease, led her to her connection with Executive Director, Jonathon Agin and her relationship with Prep4Gold.

Today, Elise’s passion involves the giving of her time and energy to help better the lives of others around her. Early on, she was involved with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Program raising funds for cancer research. In addition to her efforts in and around the cancer community, she currently serves as an Executive Board Member and Head of Fundraising for her suburb’s Tier II Travel Hockey program. She also helps advocate for children with learning differences specifically in the diagnosis of dyslexia given her own and youngest son’s diagnosis.  In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family experiencing adventures during their travels or catching a Chicago Blackhawks game.
