Brady Lucas is a Gift Officer for Four Diamonds at Penn State

Children’s Hospital. Brady was diagnosed with high-risk Acute

Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2005 at age 8 and relapsed with

ALL in 2010 at age 14. Brady received a bone marrow transplant

and donor lymphocyte infusion from his younger brother Shaun,

who was a perfect match. Brady is now over 10 years post bone

marrow transplant.

Brady began raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer

upon his initial diagnosis, when he and his father started a 501c3

organization, the Brady C. Lucas Golf Outing. To date, the golf outing has raised over $307,000 for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital and Make-A-Wish® Greater PA and West Virginia. During Brady’s time at Penn State, he participated in the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON™) in a variety of capacities. He most recently served as the Special Events Director for THON 2018. During his time on the Executive Committee, the dance marathon raised over $10.1M for Four Diamonds. Brady also became an advocate for Be The Match® while at Penn State and has recruited over 750 individuals to enter the bone marrow, stem cell, and cord blood registry. Currently, Brady serves as an Educational Resource Reviewer and Peer Mentor for Be The Match. Brady also serves on the Biobehavioral Health Alumni Program Group Board for Penn State University. 

Brady received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biobehavioral Health with a minor in Health Policy and Administration from The Pennsylvania State University in 2018 and his Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Children's Literature from Penn State in 2021.

 

Brady resides in Rockville, Maryland with his fiancé Julia. Brady enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, reading and writing, working out, cooking/ baking, and watching sports. Brady is a foodie and always enjoys the opportunity to explore new restaurants and bakeries.
